The only thing I've ever seen cause this is if a diskette is left in
the diskette drive when rebooting. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem with XP , what I had done to cause the message was I
had compressed my HDD so as it happened they changed the HD

Check that he hasn't got a floppy disk in the floppy drive.
