I own a 3Com OfficeConnect Cabel/DSL Gateway router.

Trying to conect to my server at my ext. IP delivered by my ISP. IP--->
129.142.200.29

The problem is that I canīt se my own HTTP server, IE writs ---> The page cannot be displayed<--- if i try http://129.142.200.29/
I can see that the router works intens and IE repports the blank page after maby 10-12 sec.!

I have no problems if i try http://localhost , http://127.0.0.1
--->connect to my homepage<--- or http://localhost/sysadmin/index.asp --->connect to my HTTP server admin page<---

A lot of people in NG tells me that the problem is that my router donīt support loopback.
Is there anything I can do to stop this problem?

If it can be any help, I can say that everbody else bot me can se my server. So if you try to connect to http://129.142.200.29 you will get the homepage installed on my computer (Winamp FAQ in Danish).
So itīs working outside my network, Why canīt I see my pages the same way?
I am using Sambar Server V6 and I have only one PC attatch to the router.

I do not hope that I have to go back to my old Cisco 677 router:-(

Yours Faithfully Allan Beach DK 4000 Roskilde

Is the IP assignment range of your router the same as the one your ISP is providing? If so that could lead to conflict.
The IP range that the router gives out can be anything ,why not try the router at default settings (192.168.2.xxx) ,if that works then set your router up with a range that does not match the ISP.
