I realise that most people probably have Mr Fabrikant killfiled at
this point but.....
I thought the prison guards were trying to kill him? (so he claims)
are they just really bad at their job, or is Fabby making up stories
again?
p.s. Killing people is still murder, even if they were "mean" to you.

And didn't he have a bad heart and could drop dead any minute? Something
about the Quebec doctors not feeling it serious enough to send him to BC?

perhaps... but there is sense and truth to what he says, at least from what
i've read of his so far. he doesn't deny that he's a murderer, and seems to
have insights that many of of us lack, or more likely, refuse to
acknowledge, because if we did, our conscience would force us to take
action.
i find him interesting, but i'll have to keep reading...

He denies all the time that he is a murderer. He doesn't dispute he killed
but he feels some how it was self defence. He is a coward who was too weak
to handle the situation he was in without resorting to a violent end.
The only insights he has is a paranoid dillusion that everyone is out to get
him. And yeah .. I lack that.

Yes, but if you had read further, he also justifies all his actions, all the
time, as he has always done all his life. That's why he had to leave
Russia. I don't know the psychological term, but he believes himself to be
100% correct all of the time, and that's why he killed 4 people when he was
faced with criticism by some of the people he worked with at the University.
