If I recall the the story.. a sickly cow was spotted by an
inspector and removed from the food stream for symptoms of TB
Three months later, tissue from that cow tested positive for BSE.
It appears to me that a rancher was sending a sickly cow...
presumably for purposes of making money..... and it does make me
wonder how many other cows in moderately acceptable but not
perfect health are "slipped in.

One case....ok. How many Millions of cattle are there?
