I'm sure that headline will get a rise out our brothers in Western
Canada...
Well, that was the discussion on the Randy Taylor program on 1010/CFRB
in Toronto. Apparently, there's an awful lot of people in Ontario who
are most upset about the way the SARS crisis was handled, and are
considering rebel votes against the Liberals, there. Specificly, at
least two complained about Minister of Health Ann McClellan, refusing
to follow the WHO's guidelines as regards SARS because of cost
concerns.
This is socialist heathcare at it's finest? This is the example
Hillary Clinton would have us use?
And it appears that those in the west who have been contemplating
removing themselves from the national confederation out west, have an
unexpected group of freinds back here in the east.... likely, the last
group of people they expected, out there.

.bit,
I read some of your drivel on rightpoint. Suggest you keep you day job if
you have one. Perhaps you'd care to offer guidance to George W.? Maybe the
Pentagon could use your expertise to improve their image in Iraq?
I doubt very much if two liberal backbenchers, you do know what the term
backbencher means don't you, will have much impact in parliament. As to
randy Taylor , never heard of him but i suspect he is just a rush windbag
wanna-be.
You should do some homework and discover that Annie girl is the member for
Edmonton west which is most likely the only reason she's where she is. My
guess is she'll be toast as far as cabinet is concerned in the next
go-round.

TPGBA,
An expert in Canadian history too? I didn't know! What are your metrics for
defining Canadians? Seems to me Ontario joined Confederation before the HBC
sold Rupert's Land (and Alberta) to Canada (1868). Remember 1905, that's
when Alberta and Saskatchewan joined Confederation. But I guess being an
expert you knew all that, right?
If having a bunch of mean-spirited politicians is a criteria I guess Alberta
is ahead, if you take Ralph's ascent to the throne (1992) is a couple of
years before mikey got to slash and burn (1995). Alberta's ahead on losers
too what with Joe who and Stockboy.

"Jean Cretien [Cretin] had to do a major cabinet shuffle to make up

the big mystery as to why he quit is simple: Tobin is saying screw it.
He's going home to eat moose meat, the old trout. He knows that Jean

I understand there's now a statue honouring him on the grounds of the

nshi,
You're a real cutup. FOX news; holy haemorrhoids Batman! FOX has news? The
most intelligent show on FOX is The Simpsons. Is Jerry Springer a FOX show?
I wonder what the Iraqis make of it if they see it? Mind you I do admire the
sincerity that the injury lawyers and drug companies are able to put into
their adverts.
Loved in Iraq? So the bombs and bullets being handed out apparently by
Iraqis are just a demonstration of this love? OK. I guess the Brits are
loved too then.
Stabilized does that mean like in Vietnam or the Russians in Afghanistan?

Terry,
Wrong as usual, although I do listen to it as I'm composing these missives
to you, not Radio One though. CBC is certainly owned by the state (and
you're contributing to it through your income tax and GST) but I didn't know
that it followed a state dictated editorial policy. You have some
information about that you can share something obtained through FOI perhaps
or maybe your Alliance connections? You do know Stockwell don't you though
not in the biblical sense I hope.
What great Alberta newspaper should I read the Edmonton Sun perhaps or the
Calgary Herald? I'm sure there are others can you recommend one? I really
would prefer something with a balance view preferably not one where Leonard
Asper sets the editorial policy although seeing as they're of the Liberal
persuasion I'm sure you don't read them for fear on brain washing!
ON a related topic I have just read that one of Alberta's great literary
papers "The Albertan" is it is closing down due to lack of readership. I
understand that it was a supporter of Alliance party lines. Where are the
faithful?
