I have a similar problem:
I have a PDF-Document with some forms in it, that must be filled from a XFDF-Document. The filling process has to be in Java or C++.
Is there a solution from Adobe, what products do I need?
Thanks.
I have the same question as Craig. Specifically, I want to use ODBC to fill in form fields in a PDF document.
I am in the exact same boat. I need to fill in blank government PDF forms with data stored in a SQL database. How do I do this?
If you can do this on a desktop we have an Acrobat plug-in that can connect to your database via ODBC and populate PDF forms. It can be automated through the built in "hot folders" or it has an IAC programming interface. See: <http://www.artspdf.com/arts_pdf_variform_plus.asp>
You can auto-fill PDF with XML or over 20 other database sources, without programming using:
<http://www.pureforms.com/Products/PFPrintMerge/pfprintmerge.htm>
You can also auto-email/fax/encrypt, etc., each pdf as it is generated. Setup time is under 3 minutes.
This is a little bit expensive when compared to
