I am using AA 5.0

I am working with a 200 pages PDF file and need to delete, let's say 100 pages. After doing so, the file size remains the same. Is there any thing I can do to avoid this?

would appreciate any suggestion,
thanks

Use File/Save As instead of File/Save.

Try the PDF Optimizer feature if you are using AA6. (Did you "refresh" the window in which you viewed the file details to determine if the file size had changed ?).

Its highly unlikely the file size would actually remain the same after you deleted all the pages and did a 'save as'......

Using AA5.0
I found the solution. Instead of just "Save As" I reprinted in Distiller. The file size now is more reasonable.

thanks.
