SomeOne please help.

I have 720x576 footage shot in widescreen. When I import the footage into AFX it automaticly resizes the clip to 720 x 405. Why does it do this and how can I stop it?

The interpretation of the clip seems fine. If I use quicktime to open it, it will automaticlly display in 16:9 (720 X 405) but when I resize it the image reverts back to its squashed native resoloution of 720 x 576. AFX justs automaticly converts the clip to 720 x 405 when imported into the project window. The only way that I can get it back is to make the comp 720 x 576 and resize the image. The Codec that Im using is an Avid Meridien uncompressed. Any more ideas anyone?

guessing it's your comp settings---
make sure that your comp settings are appropriate for how you want to work.
