Watch out for the false benchmarks too. Jobs is at it again. www.haxial.com/spls-soapbox/apple-powermac-G5/

Why can't he be honest and say it's just about as fast as a PC than ruining Apple's credibility?

What gives me pause is the idea that, yeah, maybe it was the fastest thing going when the made the announcement, but by the time they get that baby to market and the PC gang have had a chance to evolve in the funny way that they always seem to do by getting faster and faster, then where is the G5 going to stand? And what about a month later when the G5 is still the G5 but Pentiums and Athlons are just getting faster and faster all the time...

Joshua, we hashed this out already in another thread "I'm Terrified".

Apple went out of their way to make the tests fair. They even went so far as to post how the tests were conducted, which is more than what Intel and AMD do.

Honestly, we aren't going to know how fast these G5s are until they are shipping. Specs are one thing. But until Photoshop and AE are loaded up and running, nobody will know just how fast these babies are.

Hehe, the faster the better. I've got stock in both Adobe and Apple :)
