I am moving from CorelDraw to Illustrator ... and I wonder where the pallet
for dialling in the size of a photo or whatever exists? In Corel it is in
the menu bar. I can't find a similar feature in Illustrator 10 ... strange
as that sounds ! My friend, a Mac Illustrator guy simply resizes objects
with the mouse and shift key. (He doesn't even ever have "rulers" turnedon!)
That is fine for some stuff, but I want to type "6.75" and have the photo to
be exactly 6.75 inches ... no fuss, no muss. Where does that pallet or
whatever, exist in AI 10 ?
Thanks!

I am wondering if the silence this thread has received is because I am
missing/overlooking something obvious about that Illustrator 10
interface/workspace ??
Thanks!

Someone has been kind enough to point out the location of the "Transform"
pallet in Illus. 10 !
However, my Transform pallet does not have any "chain link" icon that will
lock the aspect ration as one sets the width or the height of an object.
Question How does one lock the aspect ration when using the Transform
pallet?
Thanks !

Ok, maybe I've been starting off on the wrong foot here ... jumping the gun
so to speak ;-). Maybe Transform is not what most people use ... so:
How do you size an object you want to "place" ... and keep the aspect ratio
the same?
Thanks !
