I created a tif in Photoshop with a transparent background and one word of text in white. When I place it in Indesign CS on top of a black rectangle I am unable to see the text. I have tried all settings of the transparency pallette without success. I'm sure I used to do this in Indesign 2. Is there some sort of different technique required in CS?

Thanks for any help Ian

There is no difference between ID 2 and CS. I just tested and it works for me.

I'd recheck your TIFF file in Photoshop and make sure you checked Save Transparency.

Or save it as a PSD instead.
