Adobe Tech Help (or lack of) are at a loss with this one, so, any feedback is welcome.
I'm trying to install Indesign on a Windows 2000 Terminal Server and it seems to be failing at the InstallShield setup rather than at installing the program. The error seems to be untitled, giving a lot of code and OS information than anything of use.
I've tried using Windows 'Add/Remove' control, also setting install mode from the command prompt, I've searched and deleted all Temp files and disabled Antivirus prior to installation.
The system is significant: Dual 3G Xeon processors, 1Gb RAM (2.05Gb effective), 65Gb HDD space. HELP! please.
Why not post that 'lot of code and OS info'? There is a reason why it is there. You can copy/paste it into google to see if someone else had the same error.
I thought if Adobe couldn't use, no one else could, but, just in case, here is the warning anyway:
Error Code: -5004 : 0x80070005
Error Information: SetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp (1927)
PAPP:Adobe InDesign CS PVENDOR:Adobe (http://www.adobe.com/prodindex/indesign/main.html)

$7.1.100.1248@no-spam 2000 Service Pack 4 (2195) IE 6.0.2800.1106
I'm curious as to whether any of that, apart from the obvious, makes any sense to anyone.
thanx,
I don't have any knowledge of (or really interest in) this topic, but following Jim & Craig's last posts, here's a Google:
