Barbara Brundage says,

<Yes! You got it.>

Well....not when accessed via Outlook Express as a newsgroup message - the hyperlink shows in all its gory details. Unless I don't have OE set up right...

Yes, text based newsreaders show the whole link:
http://www.pbase.com/jodi_001/spedia_layer_styles
As they do not perceive this as HTML.

However, the link is clickable (I use Gravity).

Hi Bob, Actually it is south of there, that's Camden harbor in the background.
The last time we were on Cadillac mt., we watched the Cat(the hi speed ferry) come in, but we didn't have any of the kids with us. We love Maine.

Our family has a house in Georgetown, that our grandfather built in 1903. Its 100 years old in July. No heat, just a summer place.

Well done Jane ! Bravo !!! Oh, while i got you here....not sure you saw my other thread but I asked if i could borrow your 'phlox' flower you have posted in your PBase gallery. It's perfect for layer style testing.

Jane I took the CAT twice on the same day. it was windy and choppy and that on crossing was my first and last time on the CAT. I would have thrown up if I knew which way up was.

I forgot to post this <http://www.cwru.edu/cgi-bin/tutorial/laboratory> link. Here's a place where you can practice your html before going "live" with it.

Hi Barb, Thanks for the link! Its similar to WebMonkey, and is a great tut for HTML. I need to learn HTML! Next project for me is to get a web page going.

Jodi Frye asked: OWL...aren't you supposed to be nocturnal ?

Some of us are diurnal (get very little sleep). That'd be me.

Thanks, Barbara! I remember seeing that site looooong ago, now that you posted the link. Maybe I'll start there before 'going live,' as you said, and buying any editor.

BTW, are you the only Barbara in the Elements forum, or should I (gladly) continue addressing questions using your surname, as well?

Owlz, hoo now has to buy something like Toast or Roxie in order to use his CD/RW drive (and find all your great back-up advice).
