I had this same problem for an Adobe Photoshop 6.0 user. It kept asking to use the properties to unlock the file. I went into the adobe folder and gave the users full permissions, this didn't work. I went in and unchecked read only on the same folder, this also didn't work. I right clicked on the Start Menu on the Adobe folder and unchecked read only and this worked, still baffled but glad. Hope this helps. So now they have full permission on the Programs/Adobe the Applications/Adobe and the Start Menu.
