I don't know why everyone doesn't use this company! (maybe they are starting
to by a lot of the posts in here)
Clearly the absolute leader in DVD online shopping when all aspects are
considered. That is price, packaging, customer service, delivery times.
Big Thumbs up too from me for DVD Pacific.

I don't like how they charge per disc in box sets. Places like DVDSoon give
you free shipping on big box sets, not try to extort just a litle bit more
money. Then again DVDSoon can take ages for stuff to arrive and apparently
have bad service, so it's your call. Me, I'll keep using 'Soon as long as
they're cheaper than 'Pacific.

Their high shipping costs are stopping me.

Yeah... I didn't really like DVDSoon's system or service. I ordered
some stuff from CD Wow (HK) and it was sent on Saturday; we'll see how
long it takes -- they were pretty good value.
Just wish they sold more Region 3 titles, least I can't find them on the
site.

Yeah I did a double take on reading what he wrote. They're certainly
better than most.

Yes, that's expensive FOR SURFACE. US$4 for the 1st DVD and US$1 for the
rest for surface is expensive to me - not that I'd ever use surface by
choice.
For airmail, which I think is what most people choose, they charge US$7
for the 1st DVD and $1 for the rest. They also charge for each DVD, not
per title. So for example a 6 disc box set would cost US$12.

Which R1 retailer doesn't reply in English?

Just looking over the archive for this group, I'd say every DVD retailer
has problems from time to time. DVDPacific seemed to have their own
shipping problems not too long ago.
Personally, I use DVDPricesearch.com.
Most of my orders go to DVDSoon. Yes, they have had they problems in the
past with shipping. And yes, they also have problems filling backorders,
but if you order a month or so before release date, or order in-stock
items only, they are ok.
I also use DeepDiscountDVD.com for some titles when they are cheaper
than DVDSoon. Their free split shipping and flat rate airmail shipping
are very competitive - great for pre-orders and Anime titles.
Also of late I've been using CD-WOW.net who offer free airmail shipping,
very good prices and I usually get my orders 4-5 days after ordering.
I've taken a look at DVDPacific.com and for the 20+ titles I checked
they were US$2-3 more expensive (including shipping), per title, than
the above.
