Aristocrat peaked at about $25 back in early 2000 but now they are about
$1.40.
Do you think that there is much potential there for investment?

They did a 4:1 stock split around 22/5/2000, so the equivalent peak was
really $6.25. Stockpoint hasn't reflected this in their 'split' option.
The same applies to BIL.

It's on my short list only because the chart looks interesting - I
haven't looked at fundamentals yet so I won't say a thing
Definately worth investing in...I bought into them when they were just under
a dollar...the company will never be back up to insane levels per share due
to change in laws of poker machine gambling atm's and smoking restrictions
although they still have a lot of progress to make...they have a huge
competitive advantage in the poker machine industry, particulary in
Australia...
I would recommend looking into their figures...but base your investments on
what you believe is right...you'll never make big money if you try to follow
others :) you have to trust your own beliefs based on physical historical
facts of the company and announcements...

why don't they put poker machines in hospitals if they are such
a great source of revenue ?
And hospitals could save on pain medication, coz the gamblers would
forget their pain while on the pokes...

After suffering 5 days (of holidays) devastation at the Crown Casino, mainly
in blackjack and poker, I like the idea. There are literally thousands of
people day in day out, gambling their lives away. Supporting hospitals is a
noble cause considering what the Canberra criminals have done to them.
hehe remnds me of someones suggestion of an un ethical investment fund
tobacco, alcohol, gambling and brothels.

Aren't hospitals the purview of the State governments (you know, the ones
who ultimately receive the GST and property tax revenues)?
;-)
If you bought ALL when this discussion thread started instead of talking on
tangents you'd be feeling some very nice returns like I have ;)
