I don't know about "THE", but if the cap fits... :-)
I use a Tachihara, not quite an Ebony but then beggars (read landscape
photographers) can't be choosers.

Hi Nige,
Yep still around, bigger and better than ever, or at least I think so :-)
I went quiet for a couple of years while I built my 6x6 motorhome, but the
site is updated regularly these days. New stuff going up soon, probably late
tonite.

I used to develop with my home-made dip-n-dunk tanks and print in the
darkroom. These days however I live on the road in a motorhome, so darkroom
work is not on.
I have to have film developed in labs. I no longer shoot sheet film because
it's too expensive to get processed, and there aren't that many places that
can do it. I uses 120 film in a 6x12 back on the Tachihara, it's still a bit
difficult to find a lab to process but not impossible, many 1 hour labs have
the facilities. 35mm just gets processed at the cheapest lab in whatever
town I happen to be in.
After that I do rough scans for the web etc on my Epson 1640SU (or LS4000
for 35mm), when I get an order I send negs to Perth for Flextight scans.
However I'm petrified I'll loose a neg in the mail, plus it adds about a
week to my response to an order. So I've been looking into buying my own
Flextight, but they're sooo expensive.
Printing is performed by Custom Colour or Latrobe on Pegasus or Lightjet
printers.
It ain't easy being a photographer and living on the road, but the
alternative is to get a real job :-)
Regards
Rob
