RG Capital's CEO Rhys Holleran told radioinfo he is "pleased" with the ABA's
decision not to delay the next round of FM licence auctions.
"We are pleased the issue has been resolved and we can get on with
planning," said Holleran.
"We have a strong interest in bidding as we did last time."
On the subject of the new Media Bill and the prospect of it not being passed
in its present form now that it is going back to the House of Reps, Holleran
was asked:
Will you be a buyer or seller if the new Broadcast Ownership bill is passed
?
Holleran: "We are neither buyer or seller, we believe cross media should go.
As a public company our responsibility is to act in the best interests of
our shareholders."
>> So, If the bill wasn't passed, could we see RG Capital in major cities
bidding for licences? and what would the station sound like if they won
them?
