Nice to see yet another shit coach try to take McLeod out by using the thug route. They can't match up against him so they send players down to rough him up. I doubt that the Crows will let this go two weeks in a row - after Whitnall scratched the shit ouf him last week it was piss weak to see two more players hitting him and digging the claws in.

I thought the Crows' own game was as much to blame for the poor standard of the game as Richmond's. We played defensively up until the last quarter and looked down on confidence with disposal.

It'll take a big lift in standard to get over the Bombers this week - their confidence is up and they have a few players back and in better form. Still,
it'll be nice to see the Bombers away from their cosy little nest at the Phone Dome.

It's getting to him, too, which is the real worry... Up until now Macca just brushed it off and still won his fair share of possessions.
On Saturday night he was completely blanketed out.

Not sure what can be done... If it's within the rules of the game,
that is. Maybe we need someone to (also "legally") touch up the tagger?

Fair point... the Crows went too wide too often. With the number of entries they had into the 50m zone (80+?) they should have kicked 20
goals on what was a pretty good night for footy.

Agree on both... Game of the round and hopefully a much more free-flowing one.

Ala Carey on Whitnall?

I noticed that against Carlton once Carey went down and gave Whitnall and his idiot mate a seeing to they pretty much stopped the scragging. What needs to be done is the umpires actually giving away frees to the tagged player before things get out hand. A prime example of that was when we saw the Richmond player thumping to McLeod, pulling his jumper and when Macca retailiates the Richmond player took a dive and got the free.

It's why I'd not be able to play football - someone did that to me and I'd make sure he didn't get back up.

This is where enforcers are at their most valuable. And Carey, if he does nothing else for the rest of this season, can fill that roll to a T and be the difference between a prelim & a premiership for Adelaide.
