Yep. Wesser should have been given a go.

I thought the Raiders were 3rd?

LOL!
What I meant is I don't know if Wesser has the petrol in him to handle a
starting position.

I thought you were ignoring my posts? :-p
But yeah, thanks for pointing that out. I always seem to miss at least one
figure.

They should play this 3rd Origin joke match as the warm up for
Penrith-Souths on Saturday night. At least there'd then be a more even
contest afterwards.
I note Sattler has been dropped. As though it was his fault. The game
was gone before he stepped on the field. I also note that Ikin,
Berrigan, Carroll, Webcke and Co (cleverly referred to by someone as
the Axis of Bronco Evil) remain.
Surely Bennett must be sacked as Qld coach. The conflict of interests
involved here is quite clear to all, and quite detrimental to
Queensland's chances in the series.
I can only think of one good thing about this match- it makes it more
certain that the Broncos will be owned by the Dogs, giving the
Panthers a saloon passage to outright competition leadership.

Josh is a first grader, but not an origin centre.
I've still got an NQ jersey from superleague year with Hannay on the
back because I was expecting him to develop into the next big thing.
He hasn't, despite his goal kicking improving.
Colin.

Well, at least it'll give them a goal kicker. But unless they get
plenty of penalties within range, he won't be needed too often.
I would've switched either Sing or Hegarty to the centres and put
Wesser on the wing. He's more like Wendell Sailor than any player
going 'round in the game ATM, and seems to have all the attributes of
a good winger.
He's strong enough to be useful running the ball from d-half. And
quick enough outta there, too. Ask the Bulldogs :-)

Maybe they should've tried Travis Norton in this role.
I believe that's where Graham Murray's gonna use him next year. Has to
offer more than Ikin -- and I reckon he's more creative than Timmins,
who's done a good job for NSW.

Yeah, it's not that I don't rate him, but I can't quite understand
some of the wraps I hear him get.

This is a good selection. Thought it would've been too far out of left
field for Bennett -- but I wouldn't mind betting his good relationship
with Craig Bellamy would help Smith's cause.
It's almost like there's an inner circle for the Queensland team and I
imagine Bellamy would be in it.

Hasn't done anything I've seen this season to deserve selection.

If I had Norton at five-eighth, I'd add Danny Nutley to the bench.

I'm not losing sleep about it either way.
