Possibly, if the definition of normal is supporting a Prime Minister whose
Governemnt locks ileagel immigrants in concentration camps, gleefuly joins
an ileagle war against the wishes of the majority and manages to divide a
nation. At a time when the incompetence of the opposition seems
tanatamount, I am not suprised he is popular. As an aside, I don't think
he is "evil" per se, I think it is systemic of a system that produces
heartless pepole such as yourself, Howard, binLaden at al, and others
filled with hate and vitrole. Where the system went wrong I do not know,
finding out and repairing it are of vital importance to the futire of the

happening in the future.

Gerry is a troll, and on many newsgroups. When angered, he can write perfectly
good English. His misuse of the language is his troll.
He is, for all intents and purposes, an asshole. Oh. Aussie group.
Arsehole. I think he is a Canadian who was refused admittance to the USA,
hence his bitterness and hate.

Bullshit. The majority of the Australian Army, never a huge Army, was in North
Africa. Remember? Rommel??

Mopping up action against unsupplied troops. Valuable work, much needed, but
not what I would call winning the war without the Americans.

Shortened the war. Russia did not declare war against Japan until August,
1945. Without the Americans in the Pacific, and with Russia fighting the
Germans, Australia would have been a Japanese province by 1945. Considering
the treatment of the Chinese by the Japanese as a model, there would have been
few, if any Caucasion citizens left alive in Australian by 1945.
You, Sir, are a fucking idiot with no knowledge of the time.

Not to mention the tremendous difficulty of transferring their Army across
Siberia with only one railroad line. At the end of the war, Japan still had a
million troops in Northern China along the Russian border.

We do not use the extraneous "u". ( One of the few places where
English (The language, not the nationality ) spelling makes a bit of

It was part of the secret protocol attached to the Nazi-Soviet
Non-Aggression Pact.
"The secret protocol held an agreement between the Nazis and Soviets that
greatly affected Eastern Europe. For the Soviets for agreeing to not join
the possible future war, Germany was giving the Soviets the Baltic States
(Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania). Poland was also to be divided between the
two - along the Narew, Vistula, and San rivers."

Dear Corks, perhaps you're counting the District of Columbia as a state of
the USA.
Or do you count Iraq as the 51st state?
Or perhaps you're harking back to the state of Jefferson, which some people
have said should be created from northern California and southern Oregon.

Gerry, there is just one hell of a lot that you don't know. Look up the
German-Soviet non-aggression pact. ( late 1930.) You can read a bit of
history and find out when Hitler and Stalin divided Poland among themselves.
That is, if you have any desire whatsoever to know history.

As an American, I wouldn't mind knowing his insight into the future, either. (
But I would bet money he meant Washington, D.C. as a State, which it is not. )

There is also a movement to divide California into THREE states, and not include
Southern Oregon.
I could see a lot of tax benefits to that.

Hey.... um.... I was counting the District of Columbia, smartarse!
Anyway, the list of states + districts schoolkids memorize is 51 members
long, no? (Unless you count American Samoa and Puerto Rico and the other
foreign colonies.)
And I'm not an American, so I have an excuse. So there.

Well, you could ask how many States are in Australia or Germany; how
many Provinces in Canada or Cantons in Switzerland. :-)
