Actually I seriously considered doing just that. However I did some
searching and made a couple of calls and decided against doing that in
fact I did as I said I deleted them. It seems the law is VERY murky
on this issue. It is one thing to DL something someone INTENDS for
you to have, but quite another if it something that the person is
unawares they are 'sharing'. They are complicit, but.........
A couple of years back I did a story with Bob Sullivan on MSNBC about
a similer 'defect' on Gnutella-LimeWire-BearShare, and a followup
interview on CNN-AM in San Francisco.

a LIST of those files and not looked at a few. So here is a partial
list of the files, together with the name of the person who showed up
as the author(properties) of most of them.
Also please note the URL where you will find the phone and mail
address of the congressman involved. Please DO phone them ask them if
the person named(author) does or has worked there or for them AND if
any of the files I have listed below can be found on ANY of their
computers.
I think you will find the answer is YES in all instances.
