Skills: Considerable knowledge and experience in implementing
PeopleSoft Rel. 8 Human Resources module.
Recent work experience as a multiple module Functional
Lead for implementation and/or production support of a
PeopleSoft HRMS 8.3 system for Government and Education.
Very strong knowledge of governmental HR/Payroll systems.
Experience in leading an agency project team through
prototyping and testing efforts.
Experience working in a production support environment
for a PeopleSoft HRMS 8.3 for Government and Education
system. Responsibilities should have included: Working
closely with end-users to solve application business
problems, mentoring end-users to augment their understanding
of the application, performing analysis to identify and
resolve application configuration or software defects, and
documenting/executing/coordinating the testing of
application fixes and modifications.
Extensive knowledge, in order of importance, of the HR
and Benefits, Commitment Accounting, Time and Labor, and
Payroll modules.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience implementing commitment accounting and the
payroll to GL interface in a governmental environment.
Strong very experience with Payroll as it relates to the
State of Texas accounting business processes and the SPRS
and ERS Interfaces.
Experience with the HHSAS HRMS application.
Scope: The client requires one or more PeopleSoft Analysts to perform
services as required for the implementation and deployment
of selected PeopleSoft modules. Serve as HRMS Functional Lead for
deployment of the HR and Base Benefits modules for the enterprise
PeopleSoft HRMS version 8.3 system at the Health and Human
Services Commission. Secondary tasks would be to assist with the
deployment of the Time and Labor and Payroll modules. Coordinates
and leads all prototyping and testing efforts relating to HR and
Base Benefits; provides direction to staff on testing scenario
documentation and execution, tracks results, and escalates issues
associated with test results. Attends all project-related
meetings. Tracks project progress/milestones. Performs all set-up
activities for the Human Resources module. Assist technical
resources on all application incidents. Provide general
functional support to staff on Human Resources module and other
modules, where integrated. Logs and tracks all Human Resources
module application incidents. Conducts software demonstrations
and presentations for management and end users. Documents "as
is" and "to be"¨ business processes. Analyze business
requirements and develop business process re-engineering
documents and plans. Provides functional assistance with
interface and conversion activities when applicable. Identify,
coordinate and assist with the testing of production fixes or
modifications to the enterprise PeopleSoft HRMS application.
Provide on-going status to team management. Provides production
support to end-users. Other related duties as assigned.
