You misunderstand. They continued slavery everywhere able. It was only banned in blighted, while their temporary empire extended world-wide.

Temporary empire?

It was the greatest empire the world has ever known.

If it was so great, then why did it fall apart?

That's a total lie, poo-boy, and you damned well know it. Of the more than 22
million that were here when the Italian landed, only 2 million were left in 1775. That's not just in what would become the US, but in both of the continents of the Americas, and the various nearby islands.

What the US did to my people was a drop in the bucket to what you lot did.

What lie would that be?

" in the words of historian Tomas Almaquer, "the California state government launched a systematic policy of sanctioned decimation." In January 1851,
Gov. Peter H. Burnett's message to the California legislature read, "A war of extermination will continue to be waged between the two races until the Indian race becomes extinct." (California had a bounty on Indians that lasted until the last decades of the 19th century. In one year alone the State of California paid out $1 million to people who had killed Native Californian Indians. WFI) A startling drop in native population ensued. In 1848 perhaps 150,000 Indians lived in California, compared to about 15,000
non-Indians, mostly Mexican Californians. Ten years later just 16,000
Indians were left. "

> What the US did to my people was a drop in the bucket to what you lot did.

So says a guilty American.

It didn't 'fall apart', Michael. Attitudes changed towards it and its value was questioned. Also one has to take into account the UN Decolonisation process that Britain, along with France, Holland et al, signed up to after the WW2. If you really want to know more and read up on it I can recommend the excellent 5 volume Oxford History of the British Empire (Oxford University Press).

Of course you decided that right after Washington drove your troops into the sea at the battle of Yorktown. It's not like you had any other choices at that point.

Hey, when do you thieving Brits plan to give all the above islands back to the natives? After all, you really don't have any room to complain about Hawaii while subjugating so many island peoples yourself, right Mr. Hypocrisy?

You really ought to get out more, nikky poo. Many of those places are uninhabitable hell holes (which is probably the only reason nobody has bothered stripping them away from your shabby remnant of an empire yet). Whereas I live in a tropical paradise.

Man oh cakies, doesn't that sound familiar, just like the engles overran the stolen counties and then claimed there'd been an election in their favor.
Of course they're scumsucking motherfuckers the entire world hates, whereas the amalgam of ethnicities in Hawaii have always loved Americans, and always will.

Lets look at one of yours, Saipan:

"Groups allege widespread 'slavery' on Saipan"

"Women hired as waitresses from as far away as Russia are put towork as sex slaves, according to the report. Commonwealthofficials say there is no sex industry but one local newspaperreports that ''Saipan . . . is being advertised as a top destinationfor sightseeing and sex tours in the Pacific.""

"Even working 12 hours a day, seven days a week, most are unableto pay off their debts, earn a living and send money home. Theirwages, subject to deductions for room and board, often are notpaid at all."

"As part of an eight-month probe by Global Survival Network,
twoinvestigators - one posing as a U.S. buyer and the other as auniversity researcher - interviewed 60 guest workers and usedhidden cameras to videotape conditions in Saipan's factories, night clubs and workers'
dormitories. The report describes theseas ''barracks'' patrolled by security guards and ringed withbarbed-wire fences."

Gitmo for young Asian women.

That's the opinion of that one guy. And here is what he said. If I may.

"when I walk up Bermudiana Road these days, and see the towering insurance buildings on my left and all the restaurants on my right, I think the Americans own us while the Italians feed us.
And the Canadians and the Americans educate us, the West Indians entertain us on our vacations, the Azoreans clean our carpets and the Filipinos clean our houses.
And the Cubans – so we have recently been told – will give us some culture.
The British, as I said, are neither here nor there. They are just part of the mosaic that makes Bermuda the special place it is.
They are nowhere close to being the dominant foreign influence on Bermuda, so it is hard to get lathered up about them."

Unquote.

He said the Americans own and educate him and the Brits are neither here nor there. Hummm, I wonder what that means?
