Description: DBA "Try/Buy" Position Description
Responsibilities:
· Perform software installations, database performance tuning,
capacity planning, and database monitoring. Assist in the development of
logical and physical database models.
Provide technical support to development team members.
· Manage and support the Oracle Production databases and related
structures.
· Provide support for development of Database applications.
· Develop and maintain Unit and System Testing databases.
· Handles the technical aspects of one or more databases including
24X7 availability/reliability.
· Designs, installs, maintains and upgrades the enterprise's
production databases.
· Provides technical expertise in the use of database technology.
· Works closely with business analysts, systems programmers, and
application developers.
· Monitors and analyzes performance and allocates database resources
to achieve optimum database performance.
· Supports multiple servers and multiple databases.
Position Requirements:
· Minimum 4+ years of Oracle DBA experience.
· Oracle DBA Certification is desired.
· 6+ years of IT experience.
· Experience with large database.
· Experience using modeling tools such as Erwin.
· Strong core DBA skills - installation, configuration,
administration, monitoring & tuning.
· Experience in OLAP and Data Warehousing database architectures
desired.
· Experienced with full development lifecycle (logical modeling,
physical design, data architecture, development DBA support & production DBA
support).
· Experience with EMC time finder and SRDF software is a plus.
· Experience with PeopleSoft a plus.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong problem solving skills.
Rate: $375 - $425/day, Job Type: Temp to Perm, Total Exp: 6+
