Yeah, thanks Lionel.

We started to use Leonel's XMITIP a few years ago and a wonderful thing it is, but we had the need for something that was a bit faster and also something that could run under CICS.

I wrote XMITMAIL as a "fast, light" version of XMITIP, a callable subroutine written in cobol. It takes about 1/10 the CPU to send a simple e-mail.

XMITCICS is the CICS version.

Basically they both do just plain-text e-mails, but you can put in an attachment if you format it yourself.
