I would check by using a tool called TAS, you should be able to download it
from the internet freely. In most companies this tool will already be
installed. It will give you various technical information about the system
you're working on.
As for the Z/OS and OS/390, there should be no differences if they're run
in 31-bit. Only if Z/OS is run in 64-bit you might encounter problems with
non-IBM outdated software. Most companies have updates of their software
available for Z/OS.

How can I check a system O/S if it's either running OS/390 V2R10 or z/OS
V1R1? I find both HBB7703 and JBB7713 FMID in global zone. Are both
versions
are considered the same?? Please advise. TIA.
