At our shop, instead of creating another LPAR for those purposes, we
maintain an alternate IPL volume called RESCUE. It is just bare bones and
is only used if the primary IPL volume is unusable for reasons such as
those you mentioned.

Hi all,
Actually we have 1 lpar prod with OS/390 V2R10. I need for safe purpose to
make a mini test lpar. It's only for restoring emergency files in prod or
if Jes2 is broken.
Could someone give me the quicker method to make a test lpar ? (via
dialog ? or via copying dasd ?)
