Would someone using Opera go to
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewItem&item=2543665486+
And tell me if there is a big Pay Now button at the top of the listing
like there always used to be with Opera. If I use IE there's a big
frame at the top with Pay Now in it. Furthermore, it says "Hello
john_jordan!" The new layout must be depending on something in
Internet Explorer to identify me and, without that, it assumes I am
not the buyer, so it doesn't display the Pay Now button.
Since eBay changed the layout practically everything I try to do
generates a cookie error. I have always had my Opera 6.05 set to
accept cookies from everywhere. In the past the only thing that
generated a cookie error was trying to log into the My eBay page. All
other eBay login pages worked OK. Now everything gives me a cookie
error.
This is highly annoying. I really need help here, or I guess I'll have
to abandon Opera completely.

Can't find one in Opera or IE. Guess it's not there.

Does this happen all the time? The problem might not be cookies, but simply
that you've forgotten to sign out from IE, but not from Opera. Also, there
is probably an option in eBay to select to save the login information or
not. If you selected this option in IE, Opera might not know about it...

Nope. Opera loses ebay's cookies and always has done. You are constantly
having to log into ebay with Opera but the wand helps somewhat. Moreover You
Cannot Sell On Ebay With Opera. You have to use Firebird or an IE clone.
Opera will not allow ebay pictures to be uploaded. Surely someone at Opera
uses ebay and can make the correct noises to get this all sorted out
sometime?

The above is not true for the Dutch ebay at least -- I am currently selling
something there, and only used Opera to sign up and login.
Cookie settings:
Ebay.nl: 'Apply these settings for the entire domain'
'Accept cookies for server/domain'
'Accept thirdparty cookies for server/domain'
Ebay.com: identical to Ebay.nl
Normal cookies: 'Treat as specified in Server Manager'
Third party: 'Display in dialog box with multiple choice'
'Accept cookies with illegal paths' checked.
I am using 7.20 b1, but Ebay also works with 7.11
