They're not. You clearly need a class in Econ 101. Perhaps 001.

Let's look at a simple example. Right now you can hire a poor man to mow your lawn once a week. If you don't, you're "pocketing" the money that would otherwise go to him.

What gives you that right to keep that fellow's money?
