You notice how Shatzer always pounces on the exception as though that proves
the rule and leaps on the arcane and irrelevant as though it strengthens his
unsupportable positions. Oh, well, it's what happens at the polls that
counts, maybe someday that'll sink into his noggin. KM

BZZT. The Democrats were within the law, and the USSC ruled that
everything was going exactly as it should before Bush sued. The trouble
was that the Republicans wanted to *stop* counting since they had
counted enough to spell victory for Bush, which they managed to do.

The sad part is that you're willing to appear so ignorant about the
workings of your government.

If you really believe that bit of satire posted out of context from
"Ha'aretz" you're welcome to yet another fantasy. Bush didn't act alone,
both houses of Congress were solidly behind him, as were bothh Bill and
Hillary Clinton. Are you also concerned with what God told them? And
fantasy won't determine the outcome of the next election, either. KM

Or at least I wish I were.
He's so -- in control and all.

Neither has Bush claimed that God told him to do anything. A foreign
newspaper, "Ha'aretz" printed a satire that didn't claim any such thing
either, but, the Leftwing Liberals have become so desperate to grasp any
hallucinatory straw they can find, they're frothing at the mouth and messing
themselves to start yet another tidbit of propaganda which will backfire, as
usual. They've worked themselves up to the same fever pitch that was
demonstrated when Ronald Reagan ran for re-election. The Leftwing Liberal
strategy really paid off. But, not for the Leftwing Liberals. Ronald Reagan
received more popular votes than any other presidential candidate in the
history of the United States had ever or has ever gotten and he landed more
Electoral Votes than any presidential candidate had ever received or has ever
obtained. Keep up the good work - maybe Bush can beat Reagan's records. KM

Do show that it was satire. I've got references that say Ha'aretz is
Israel's most reputable newspaper.
Do explain too, why the American news hasn't call Bush to account on this?
They'd better - this is starting to get a lot of traction on the Internet.
Are we returning to the era of Divine Right of Kings?

The second part is correct, but the first part isn't.
The conversation in which the comment was alleged to have
been uttered was behind closed doors, and was not
recorded on tape or video. But the PLO leader who
was the recipient of the comment (supposedly) later
told about this (he was apparently impressed). So
we don't know yet if this was really said as the
information is second hand, and through translators.
We also don't know if this comment, if it was said, was
made because it's the kind of thing that would
impress a Muslim. We just don't know. But you're
right about the fact that the lefty people have
run with this story far longer than the evidence
can back it up. But that's the nature of
such stories as used by the right and left when
it's convenient. What's worse is that when
any stories are later proven to be false, or
only partially correct, there's rarely a
retraction.

That would be a foreign -Israeli- newpaper. About Isreal's equivelent
of the Washington Post or the LA Times. Not, in other words, a "fringe"
news source.
And it certainly wasn't printed as a "satire" but rather as a straight
news article.

Do the "lefties" get to spend 80 million dollars investigating whether he

Reuptable newspapers don't print satires? Is the Miami Herald, for
instance, not a reputable newspaper?
