I know that you have had some advice already, but thought I'd add my 2
cents worth.

You can plant perennials well into September. Bleeding Heart plants have finished their blooming, but can be transplanted now or in the fall. If you do transplant during the summer, you have to remember to water regularly and deeply (I find that every other day for an hour is good).
My suggestion would be to hold off, though, until August when the weather is usually a little cooler. My sister-in-law owns a garden center and stocks perennials well into the fall. She may have a bleeding heart available. Check her web site at http://www.greenthumbgarden.ca/
and email her for information.

If you have questions about gardening, a garden center like my sister-in-law's is good because the staff know plants! Walmart, Loblaws and similar stores do not have staff trained in gardening and landscaping. Real garden centers may be a little more expensive, but you gain with the knowledge and expertise that the staff have.

One thing you should probably do is check out the gardening courses with the local school boards. The courses should be advertised through the Citizen in August/September. The booklets may also be available from the public library.

You are one very confused individual. Either that or you reply differently to those who challenge you... and you don't like being challenged.

But why....why, oh why, can't it be both?

Please let it be both.

Just for me...?
