Hi there,

I was looking at a used van today, and two things stood out that I will probably have to repair upon purchase:

1. The windshield has a crack from top to bottom on the far right side, under the wiper range.
2. This older van should have a catalytic converter, but it doesn't anymore..I think someone has removed it for another vehicle.

Do any of you know how much it typically costs to repair these items?

I will of course be contacting my garage etc., but I just wanted to hear some alternative viewpoints.

Has the vehicle been driven a lot on gravel roads?

Was it repainted? If not check the lower body sides for rock chips. Are the fender wells dusty. Open the doors... lots of dirt in there?
