I think we (I) discussed em enough....As far as I am concerned, K&N
makes a great aftermarket air and oil filter and highly recommend one
to anyone. Yes they are more expensive than regular paper filters. You
have to clean/re oil them once a year and you do get a performance
gain out of them. With the stock replacement ones, you do not require
rejetting. If in doubt, check your plugs....they tell a whole story of
your engines ability to deal with your fuel mixture...there are plenty
of links available of how to check your mixture, one being a dyno.
Speaking of which (dyno), my bro has the phone number of a guy that
used to come around with a portable dyno for bikes....maybe if there
is sufficient interest, we may be able to persuade him to come to
Ottawa someday.....
Mario at MD Motorcycles has a dyno if you want to do some comparison
