Hey guys, just got a request from Colleen....her news server is down
so she can't get any postings at the moment and she was wondering if
riders were dropping by The Reach before heading in to town for the
fireworks tomorrow nite.....Thanks.

I was going to do but my ride is in pieces in the driveway waiting for
bearings to come in. Steering head bearings were in rough shape so I
needed to order a set. Hopefully they will be in in time for the weekend.

Naw...asked Ziggy to find out for me as my server was done
yesterday...couldn't get into the NG...I'm working today and was trying to
decide if I would attempt to hook up with the Ride or wait at The Reach for
them and then on to the fireworks later in the evening.
No offence meant to you or anyone else...personally not sure I understand
why it would bother you. Do try to enjoy your day.

Colleen, If this remark was aimed at me, I would be extremely offended
by it. In the past few weeks the attitude and language on this NG has
taken a lot of the fun out of it. I thought Johanne was kind of jumping
the gun a bit last week when she was getting ready to pull the plug on
it but now that I've taken the time to look at what is going on in here

It concerns me when a serious poster such as yourself decides to drop out of
the NG, and I, for one, will ask you to re-consider doing so. I agree some
of the recent posts have been WAY off-topic and inflammatory, but have
learned to accept that this NG is unmoderated, so the onus is on me to
ignore the garbage.
In the past, I have taken great interest in your posts... I remember in
particular your posts to a bunch of newbies last year regarding equipment
recommendations, and I can pass along to you that your words were well taken
when those particular newbies geared up.
I don't believe I've had the pleasure of meeting you face to face, but
someday I'd like to shake your hand and just say, "Thank you."

As an outsider to the group I definitely can't see how there was any kind of
insult or dig to that post so what was there to aim???
True, there are "all kinds" in all of the NGs, but I think that alot of
people need to lighten up. If there IS a dig, consider that EVERYONE is
entitled to an opinion and we need to resect each other AND our opinions.
I doubt VERY much if someone though "hey, let's piss off Mr. Ed" before they
posted...

of pushing a specific restaurant on this group for financial
gain...(pimping) and you don't think she should be offended? Your skin

Please know that I appreciate your kind words...would really hate to see you
leave the NG over this type of thing. Have really enjoyed our talks and
hope that you will reconsider.
You have always stood up for what you have believed in...and that is a trait
that I admire greatly...please don't stop being you...because of someone
getting under your skin. They are not worth it, in my opinion! Have
always believed that everyone is entitled to their opinion...just wish that
more care would be taken before posts are "sent"...it isn't necessary to be
a ^*&$h to get your point across...and if it is...then your point is mote.

Maybe that's for the best...you don't really want to understand the post in
question...suffice it to say that everyone is entitled to their
opinions...and perhaps there are some who would find humour in the offending
comment (would venture a guess that most would not)...totally agree with ya
that the NG has to lighten up...alot of nasty (*%! being posted lately...not
really sure that makes the NG the place to be...would rather be with good
friends having fun...not have to don flame retardant wear just to read the
posts.
