I am debating between joe rocket and First Gear jackets . Joe rocket sounds
good, but I haven't heard much about first gear. Anyone have a leather First
gear jacket that they have owned for awhile? If so, is the quality decent,
and do they hold up over time? I'm hoping this jacket will last me a few
years at least.
cheers,
herbert

Great jacket.
I have a Killimanjaro for the last 3 year. Totally waterproof.

I have a First Gear leather jacket (Pilot S ??). It is a well made
jacket. But I wish I had bought a Bristol Leather jacket. Bristol
makes a couple of jackets very similar to the First Gear with lots of
venting and well made. Bristol is a Canadian company and I was told
that the jackets were stiched in Canada. I did not check for a "made
in" tag though. I saw some Bristol Leather jackets at Village du Cuir
in Hull. Deffinately worth a look.
Hello,
Yep...hubby and I have owned First Gear Leathers for a couple of years
now...best gear that money can buy...love our leathers...they are built to
last...if you take care of them.
Ottawa Goodtime Centre has First Gear Leather Coats on sale. Cost in
catalogue is approx. $500.00 American and OGC has them on for $500.00
Canadian.
Can't beat that price...leather pants on sale too!!!
Cheers,
Colleen :))
