Looking for a tool for my Hindle slip on exhaust that will make it
easier to re-install the springs for the headers at the manifold side.
Have to drop headers to do oil change and its a bear to re-install
springs without a proper tool.
Thanks....
get a wrench, use some safety wire, attach the wire to the box end of the
wrench and the other to the open end.
So that it kind of looks like an archery bow. To use it, hold the wrench
with your hand, and use the safety wire to pull the spring.
Cheap and effective.
I hope I explained it okay..

Thanks....problem is that my oil plug is directly above the junction
of the headers...I can barely get a wrench in let alone my hand....
I found the tool, has a small hook on one end and a shaft with a loop
for your finger at the other. Takes 5 minutes to remove the exhaust
system from bike. Have to remove rear bolt and the whole thing comes
right off...oil changes are easy this way, lots of clearence and
filter housing has no obstructions and all oil drips into pan.
