Description: Exciting position available for support and installation of multiple MS-2000 Servers running Exchange at client locations in Center City, Philadelphia. CNE needed to assist with the installation, configuration, service and support of MS-2000 Servers, Exchange and Microsoft Small Business Servers. Server configuration includes hardware, network operating system software, backup utility software, remote management software, and network connectivity hardware/software issues. Familiarity with NetWare 6, Linux Red Hat 6, Qmail and TinyDNS a plus. Work scope will include workstation, server and Internet connectivity configuration and service. This is not a 9:00 to 5:00 job. Frequent evenings and very occassional weekend work is the norm.
Required skills: MSCE. Expertise in Veritas Backup Exec, Symantec Anti-Virus Corporate Edition, Dell PowerEdge Servers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be self motivated and able to work as a member of a team. LAN Troubleshooting, Hardware Failure Diagnosis, strong organizational skills a must. 3 to 5 year network service experience.
Desired Skills: Citrix MetaFrame XP, Dell PowerEdge Certified Technician, CNE, Corel WordPerfect and Symantec Anti-Virus Filter, A+ Certification.
Non-Technical Skills:Good sense of humor, excellent customer relation skills, high degree of ethics, low absenteeism and tardiness, availability to work late on short notice.
