Duties: EDI Activity
Lead new E-commerce projects. Perform analysis and develop technical
specification for EC projects.
Develop, maintain, test, and implement EDI transactions for existing
and new EDI trading partners.
Install, configure and maintain EDI software on test and production
servers.
Coordinate and establish communication setups between client, Value
Add Networks and 3rd party service providers.
Create Standards documentation and setup guidelines for client trading
partners.
Archive documents for systems management and later retrieval purposes.
Work with SAP Application developers to map data to and from the EDI
translator.
Work with SAP Module specialist, facilitate the Interface of SAP
IDOC's.
Act as a liaison between client and trading partners.
Participate at industry forums as the "Aventis advocate" for all EDI
issues.
FTP Processes (scripting, scheduling & monitoring)
Develop and maintain batch job & FTP scripts for processes that can be
automated.
Support Data Encryption / Decryption software.
Other Duties
Consult and participate on special customer projects related to EDI.
Position Requirements (must have)
Microsoft NT, Gentran: Server for Window NT, SQL, Communication
Scripting (FTP), Batch job scripting, Microsoft Visual Basic, PGP,
general EDI and ANSI X12 knowledge.
We have a need for a person to assist us with EDI mapping Gentran
knowledge is a must.
Person must have experience (2 to 3 years minimum) Gentran EDI mapping
Skill considered a plus:
SAP IDOC and Partner Setup background a plus.
