Scope: Recording Technician Description A technical professional to
record and edit demonstrations, lab exercises,
presentations, chalk-talks, etc. by Subject Matter Experts
using computer based recording software. Will work as a
member of multiple project teams and on multiple
simultaneous projects. Will work with Education Project
Leads and Development Subject Matter Experts to schedule
recording sessions, install necessary software on Subject
Matter Expert computers, troubleshoot technical problems and
record sessions. Will work independently to edit recordings
to ensure highest quality. Able to recognize project related
problems and independently develop solutions. Works with
cross-functional teams to achieve objectives. Understands
the mission of work group, Worldwide Education and Tivoli.
Ensures projects are fully supportive of overall Worldwide
Education and Tivoli goals. Understands the impact of
e-business on education. Skills Project Management Follows

Reports progress toward milestones Excellent written and
verbal communication skills Teamwork Uses teamwork and

teams. Technical Experience with the installation,
configuration and troubleshooting of UNIX, NT and Windows
2000 Experience with configuration and troubleshooting TCP
IP at a client level Experience with remote access and
remote control software VNC, Exceed. Experience with a
distance learning application Lotus Sametime, Lotus Learning
Space, Centra, and Interwise Experience capturing, editing
and producing video AVI, RealVideo using computer based
tools Camtasia, Adobe Premier, Real Producer Experience
capturing, editing and producing audio AVI, WAV using
computer based tools Sound Forge. Experience with the setup
of audio visual capturing equipment mixers, microphones,
video cameras Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project User experience with Lotus
Notes v5 email and databases.
