The house is a few blocks off of Walker road on 180th ave.; basically at
185th and Walker Rd. on the west side of Beaverton near PCC Rock Creek and
the Oregon Graduate Institute. It's about a 10 minute walk (3 minutes on a
bicycle) to the max. train or 5 minute walk to the bus.
It's a 2,200 square foot 3 bedroom 2 ½ bathroom house with central air
conditioning, a dishwasher, washer & dryer, and a nice back yard. Most of
the furniture is already there along with cooking stuff, plates, glasses,
etc.
Your bedroom would be upstairs. The only other room is at the other end of
the hallway, so you'd have decent privacy. You'd share the upstairs
bathroom with one other roommate. The room can either be mostly furnished
or unfurnished. As I mentioned, most of the rest of the house has furniture
already. There's "expanded basic" (CNN, MTV, food network, and such) cable
into your room.
Our responsibilities are to keep the common areas clean, help with yard
work occasionally, and treat the house well.
The rent is $435/month. That -includes- the utilities, such as
electricity, phone, heat, water, garbage, & basic cable (except for your
long distance phone calls and such) so you don't have to worry that a cold
winter or a hot summer will break your budget. A housekeeper comes twice a
month and cleans the main areas of the house. We would still need to keep
the common areas clean in the meantime. There's also cable modem into the
house and a wireless base station set up.
This is a non-smoking, no drugs or dogs household. And, yes, two indoor,
declawed cats also live here.
