It's not so much what I don't understand about Ben... it's what I don't
understand about why there are people using SLANDER to drive him off. They
claim Ben is gay... akin to some huge, 800lb. male gorilla-humping
homosexual, when it is more than 100% likely that they are simply clueless
about him personally and doing ANYTHING they can to drive him off, because
they are tired of his repeated advertizing posts.
I think the device is known as a "kill file" (not sure how you use one or
what they are exactly), but the offended people should just use them, so the
messages he posts simply don't appear on their end.
Think of this (or any other newsgroup) as a TV. You advertise X number of
times on TV to try and get your product into the eyes and minds of potential
customers. Advertising here is free, so in encourages him to post more
often.
Can you image what Atari's business success rate might have been like if
they had been able to advertise as cheaply as they could today, across the
Internet?
Do we rant and rave everytime we see a Procter & Gamble commerical selling
Crest or whatever and say "Yeah, those guys at P&G are all a bunch of 800lb
HOMOSEXUAL FAGGOTS, THAT HUMP GORILLAS ALL DAY LONG!" No. We either IGNORE
the commerical, tune the volumn down./off, change channels, or, at the very
least, walk out of the room!
Personally, I have little to no interest in what Brovao (wha... huh? What
typo monster typed THAT? I mean Bravo) Sierra is pitching to sell. Why?
I'm out of the Atari arena. Atari doesn't sell hardware anymore, so I'm not
buying anything Atari anymore. The only reason I want an Atari 1040ST case
is for my own strange ideas of possibly creating a pseudo-prototype of some
whacky Atari PC I want to see happen.. Nothing more. Nothing less.
But I kinda like seeing someone... ANYONE... selling (or trying to sell)
Atari stuff. It shows that there is still someone in the vast desert known
as Ataridom, trying to keep the spirit alive... or at least get rid of what
they've got so they can close their doors forever! :-)

At least he has product to sell. Look at me... I get attacked because I'm
pitching nothing but a DREAM! An IDEA! I've got Steve Sweet going after me
like I'm some sheep he wants to rope and make happy! At least Ben's trying
to sell something tangible!
'Tis easy enough to ignore or avoid him, if ye like. Why waste effort and
energy attacking him?

I think he speaks for a lot of us. I certainly resent your relentless
advertising crap on this board and as youre reading this thread im taking
the opportunity of telling you (Again).

You attempts at "slight of hand" are futile. The statement is to have HIM
(Steve Sweet) PROVE (provide overwhelming or undeniable evidence) that he
knows where I and my wife live. But maybe you don't know how to read
English (or suffer from some variation of dyslexia) and thus are lead to
believe I meant something else entirely different.
