Rapidly-growing search company is seeking motivated, creative SENIOR developer/engineers to enhance and extend our existing platform. We're in the process of building out our development team, which means that we're seeking those people who can bring a wide range of skills to the table and work well with a small team of smart, disciplined people.

The right candidates will have a demonstrably strong knowledge of network application development and can point to a track record of successful design, development, delivery and deployment of products.

Development experience with large-scale web crawling, large datasets or high-traffic (5M+ pageviews/day) sites a plus.

Required skills:
* BS/MS in Computer Science or equivilent, PhD a plus.
* 6 YEARS minimum experience with 4+ years of experience in Perl application development.
* Experience building scalable and maintainable systems.
* A strong track record in one or more of the following areas: - mod_perl on a high-traffic website - processing large (1G) data sets - data organization and taxonomies
Desired skills:
* Experience developing or contributing to CPAN modules a plus.
* Experience building or working with search technology (home grown, open source or commercial).
* Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems, along with the discipline to work through the less-interesting ones.
* The ability to think on your feet and improvise when necessary.
* Unix/Linux System Administration experience a plus.
