XXXXX is a startup company based in San Carlos, CA that has developed
breakthrough media and special effects technology. Our products combine
state-of-the-art image projection and motion-sensing technologies to make
display media interactive, captivating, exciting and fun.
JOB SUMMARY
XXXXX is seeking a QA White Box Engineer who will be responsible for
testing XXXXXXX ground-breaking technology products. This person will need
to conduct software and interactive media product tests on Linux and
Windows operating systems. Good Shell Scripting, Perl, HTML, and C/C++
programming skills will be necessary to participate in activities such as
automated test harness creation, code reviews, code coverage analysis, and
API tests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Work closely with QA and Development creating an automated test harness.
o Write programs using shell scripts, Perl, HTML, XML, and C/C++.
o Conduct code reviews, code coverage analysis and API tests.
o Test numerous product areas and report issues using the defect tracking
system.
o Write test cases, test scripts, test suites, and test plans.
o Conduct automated, functionality, performance, and White Box tests.
Required skills:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
o 3+ years of relevant Quality Assurance experience.
o Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Electrical
Engineering.
o Good understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.
o Solid programming skills using shell scripts, Perl, HTML, and C/C++.
o Automated testing experience using tools such as QuickTestPro, SilkTest,
or WinRunner.
o Experience with multi-media or interactive-media products.
o Familiar with QA White Box testing methods and tools.
o Knowledge of source code control and defect tracking tools such CVS as
Bugzilla.
o Ability to develop test cases, test scripts, test suites, and test plans.
o Good written and verbal communication skills.
Desired skills:
Excellent communication skills as this position will be required to
interact with numerous people on both the software and hardware development
teams.
Should be able to work independently in a rapidly growing start up
environment.
