Antiques like this don't hold their value after the original Sears "Good" label
is removed . . . .

: Don't knock it! Traquair House Ale is made only with authentic bear
: turds. The famous Bear Gates have never been opened since 1715. That's a
: long time to wait and when the time comes, they'll be able to brew
: OCEANS of the stuff.

I wasn't knocking it at all. If I didn't love it I wouldn't be willing to
spend 4 bucks for a pony bottle -- homebrewers here consider it one of the
finest commercial examples of "Old Ale" and try like hell to duplicate the
richness. Now that I know the secret is in Bear Turds I may <<< hey, wait
a minute! Are there bears in Scotland?? You mean like the one the guy in
the ad wrestled the salmon away from?? I remember someone saying that it
had to have been a setup because bears have been extinct in Scotland for
thousands of years.
But that doesn't mean there's no Bear Turds in the peat, does it??
