I have inherited a number of small figurines that have
been hand carved out of Meerschaum. I was told by my father that they
were carved over 150 years ago and were worth "hundreds of dollars."
The figurines depict a rustic European folk orchestra of sorts. The
clothing on the figures appear to be early 19th century or late 18th
century.

After seeing the photos please MAKE AN OFFER.
I have been unable to find anything like them for sale anywhere.I
don't know precisely what these figurine are worth, merely that they
are valuable.

PS even if you're not interested in making an offer, expert opinions
would be appreciated.

I've been politely informed that FS postings are not appropriate on
this newsgroup. I had no idea. Sorry.
