Hello..
I wonder if anyone reading from this group could help me find =
information on how i might find out the maker of an old old violin i =
have,,it's been bugging me now for years,,it seems thay who ever made it =
was quite the craftsman and artist,,and for the life of me i can't see =
why they would want to put someone elses name on it,,but it seems that =
they may have because the name inside says it was made by Antonius =
stradiuarius Cremonfis,Faciebat Anno,1721,,and as i have found out from =
others is the theres a lot of so called strads,,out there,,but i would =
love to be able to identify the maker of this one coz it was made with =
such skill and love all of the inlay work must have taken weeks or =
months to do as it is inlayed with what i think is Mother of pearl and =
silver,on the tail piece and the keys,,so if anyone out there could =
steer me to a place or someone who could help me,,thankyou in advance,, =
i have=20

BUT....if you had a genuine Stradivarius, you'd know it. All
have been identified and traced.
What you have is one of the hundreds of thousands of copies
sold at Sears, Roebuck or by door-to-door salespeople.
